The Terminal
Leeds Airport started life as “The Leeds and Bradford Municipal Aerodrome” in 1931.
The terminal has seen ongoing improvements since 1996 in line with passenger growth, and in 2007 the total reached 2.9 million.
The original runway was closed in 2005 and redeveloped to provide a taxiing-way and apron space. More recently a master plan has been developed that proposes a £28 million investment in the terminal.
The airport now serves over four million passengers a year, travelling to more than 70 destinations.
