Several airlines have been flying in and out of Corvera Airport Murcia, covering an increasing number of flight routes, since it replaced Murcia San Javier Airport (for civilian flights) in January 2019.
Operated by AENA (Spain’s main official airport authority), Corvera Airport Murcia has significant scope to handle many more additional routes, although the COVID pandemic and its aftermath temporarily disrupted some of those plans.
Destinations from Corvera Airport Murcia
Over the first years of flight operations at Corvera (officially known as the Region of Murcia International Airport), airlines have covered the following destinations: Antwerp, Asturias, Barcelona, Bergen, Bilbao, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, Brussels Charleroi, Casablanca, Dublin, East Midlands, Glasgow, Gran Canaria, Leeds Bradford, London (Gatwick, Luton, Southend and Stansted), Madrid, Manchester, Menorca, Ostend-Bruges, Oujda-Les Angades, Oviedo, Palma de Mallorca, Prague, Santander, Tenerife (Norte) and Warsaw.
With restrictions on flights between European Union and non-EU Schengen Area countries (plus the UK) now either ended or significantly eased, as well as air links with other selected international destinations, services operating at Corvera Airport Murcia before the coronavirus outbreak have now returned to normal.
Bear in mind, however, that they are still subject to ongoing changes and updates by the airlines in accordance with current circumstances and any new protocols implemented by the relevant national governments.
The information detailed for each airline (and destination) is only available as an overall guide, as schedules vary from one season to the next – with winter flights (for example) being reduced following the peak summer season.
