Following a dispute between taxi drivers already operating at San Javier Airport and those in and around the Murcia city area, it was confirmed that the latter would have a monopoly at Corvera Airport Murcia when it opened in January 2019. Only taxi drivers registered in Murcia municipality are allowed to pick-up passengers from the new airport, leaving many San Javier Airport taxi drivers excluded.

All taxi journeys where the destination or origin is Corvera Airport Murcia have a single rate of €29 to or from Murcia centre, applicable to the area that covers Ronda Sur, the avenues Miguel Induráin, Reino de Murcia, Doctor Guillén and Ronda Oeste, and Espinardo and the districts of La Arboleja, La Albatalía, Los Dolores, Santiago y Zaraíche and Puente Tocinos.
The flat rate is the total amount for the entire service, with all supplements included and no additional charges allowed to be applied.
