The terminal building extends over 37,000 square metres, and within the main hall there are 24 check-in counters in addition to a desk for special luggage requirements. There are three double security checkpoints from the main hall leading in to the departures area, with nine boarding gates.
Six of the boarding gates are for non-Schengen countries and three are for Schengen destinations. (The Schengen Area comprises 26 European states which do not have border controls between each other.)
Within the baggage reclaim area you will find three carousels in addition to a dedicated area for special baggage requirements. There are 17 lifts within the airport and multiple passenger information screens strategically located to ease your passage through the airport.
