The Spring/Summer schedule at Murcia Corvera airport begins in April. The most recent additions to the flight schedule include a couple of domestic connections: Asturias and Palma de Mallorca.
Over half of the flights forecast will be operated by the airline Ryanair which links Covera to 8 locations in the UK and Ireland and now also the domestic flights within Spain.
Since the opening in January, Murcia Corvera airport was expected to see a total of 1 million passengers throughout this year. While this was a lower projected figure than that seen at the former San Javier airport, Corvera passenger numbers have already exceeded expectations since opening. It is widely expected that the number of connections and flight destinations will continue to increase throughout the year and the president of the airline Volotea, Carlos Muñoz, predicts that there may be flights from Murcia Corvera to destinations in France in the future.
