Four new routes are set to be launched at Corvera Murcia Airport in the next couple of weeks. These include arrivals and departures from Prague, Asturias, Palma de Mallorca and Warsaw. The first of the new flight routes will begin operating in May, with the rest starting up in June. There is also the potential for more flights to be added, and the regional government says it is confident that the summer schedule will be a high-flying success.
The first new route will be a twice-weekly service to and from Prague. This service is being operated by Smartwings, the largest Czech airline, and operate on Mondays and Thursdays starting from 24 May. The second route to be added will start one week later, with Volotea also running a twice-weekly service of flights linking Murcia and the northern Spanish region of Asturias. This will also operate on Mondays and Thursdays.
Ryanair will also be introducing a new route on 1 June, with a new service between Murcia and Palma de Mallorca. This route will fly to and from the Balearic Islands on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Shortly after, Ryanair will also be adding flights to and from Warsaw on 5 June. In addition, Jet2 are set to add additional services on Wednesdays, with flights connecting with both Manchester and Leeds.
Four new charter flights have been announced for the winter of 2019-2020, with new routes operating between Murcia and Billund Airport in Denmark. Volotea are also rumoured to be considering setting up new connections with flights to Italy.
