Tour operator Sanna Travel has expanded its charter services from Spain to Egypt to include a holiday flight from Corvera Airport Murcia this winter. For the moment, the company is planning a one-week holiday trip departing for Luxor on 9 January and returning to Murcia from Cairo on 16 January, but it also says it hopes to announce additional charters in 2023.
Announcing the new service, the company said it aspired to become a national benchmark linking Spain with Egypt. Already this year it has been offering direct flights to Luxor from 20 Spanish cities, and Murcia is one of nine new services now added to the schedule.
According to managing director Mohamed Ali, Sanna Travel offers various holiday options for clients booking the Luxor flight from Murcia, “adapted to all people and budgets”. These cover stays of eight days and seven nights, including a four-day, five-star cruise along the Nile and three days in a five-star hotel in Cairo.

This summer season, the airport offered flights to 22 destinations (also including the Czech Republic and Norway). Between 1 April and 30 October, airlines operating in the region sold nearly one million seats, which represented 96 per cent of the total for the same pre-COVID period in 2019.
