There is continued optimism for the possibility of flight connections between Corvera Murcia and Madrid.
In a move that would see the number of domestic connections increase, a 45 minute journey to get to the capital is a much anticipated prospect.
Earlier this week, Patricio Valverde, the Minister for Development and Infrastructures, was confident in his report that flight connections between Murcia and Corvera would almost certainly preceed any eventual AVE train connection between the regions. His view is that the introduction of a speedier flight connection could be “to compensate” for the current lack of AVE connection.
Valverde confirmed that as well as ongoing talks with low-cost airline providers, the department are also in talks with airlines able to facilitate flight connections with major Spanish cities such as Madrid and also Barcelona.
We anticipate links between Murcia and Madrid and Barcelona are not far off!
