Aena, the management company of Corvera Airport have announced a number of new service contracts ahead of the opening of the airport. The contracts include security services, cleaning and maintenance, as well as further contracts for shops and services. The total value of the new contracts amounts to a stunning total of 2.3 million Euros.
Some of the new contracts will initially begin at San Javier Airport, but will be transferred to Corvera Airport in January. This includes security and cleaning contracts. A security contract has been awarded to Prosegur, a multinational security company headquartered in Madrid, for €£3,058,552 for a two year period.
Three new rental contracts have also been approved. This includes two shops selling things such as snacks, books, newspapers and more which was awarded to WHSmith, a delicatessen to run by Iberica Negosentro and a gift shop run by a company called Submarine. Two cash machines will also be set up by Euronet 360 Finance.
An 11-week contract has also been assigned to a merger company for the price of €739,883. The contract includes a number of jobs to be completed within the terminal building itself. This will focus on the prevention of accidents in the workplace, constructing two new sets of toilets, installing four new one-way corridors and improving the existing security arrangements for vehicle access.
