Subway, the popular American chain of restaurants selling sandwiches and salads, has now opened an outlet at Corvera Murcia Airport. You can find the new restaurant within the boarding area, as well as a number of other great places to eat. The sandwich chain currently has over 60 locations across the country, and the new restaurant at Corvera Murcia Airport is one of the largest in Europe. The location occupies a 480 square metre area of floor space, and has capacity for up to 165 customers at a time, ideal for busy times of the day.
It was originally announced last month that Subway would be opening a new restaurant. However, this news has long been expected as the licence was originally awarded to Subway in 2018, well ahead of Corvera Murcia Airport’s opening date on 15 January this year. Subway was originally available at San Javier Airport before it closed, and has now transferred its operations to Corvera Murcia Airport as well as two other airports across the country: Alicante-Elche and Mallorca.
The new restaurant is run by Airfoods and has been modelled on Subway’s “Fresh Forward” style, which includes a bright and modern design. There will also be fresh fruit and veg available to enjoy with your sandwhich. The aim of the Fresh Forward colour scheme is to reflect the freshness of the ingredients and to provide a bright and friendly space.
Subway offers an incredibly wide range of sandwiches, from classic flavours like ham and tuna to more fun and experimental fillings such as curry chicken and spicy meatballs. Healthy salads are also on offer, and you can make your sandwich however you prefer. If you want to enjoy something sweet, Subway also offers delicious cookies and muffins.
