Although no official announcement has yet been made, Ryanair are expected to join the list of airlines that will be flying to and from Corvera Airport when it officially opens. The speculation for this spawned from the discovery that Ryanair has already requested winter season flight slots at San Javier airport.
This has been considered a likely move, as the transfer for civil aviation services away from San Javier airport to Corvera Airport was recently approved. Ryanair also have flights to Murcia listed for next year, but currently do not specify Corvera as the destination.
Given that the no more civilian flights will be landing at San Javier airport, it seems most likely that Ryanair will be flying to Corvera. Ryanair also currently provides more flights than other airlines that operate at San Javier airport. The company offers routes to 9 available destinations, most of which are in the UK.
Currently, both Jet 2 and Eeasyjet have announced that they will be operating flights to and from Corvera Airport once it opens. Easyjet announced the move to Corvera Airport earlier this year in June, with Jet 2 making their announcement in April.
